Question
Hello
My 968 has developed a fault on the nearside
headlight. The light will "pop up" into position, and
light, but will not retract when I turn the lights
back off.
When the lights are turned off, a squeak comes
from
the light concerned, and the headlight moves a bit,
like it's trying to come down. Its almost like a
rubber roller is slipping somewhere in the mechanism
(guesswork - I don't know how the mechanism works).
Questions:
1. How does the mechanism work
2. How do you access the mechanism
3. Any ideas on whats wrong? The motor would seem
to
be working.
Answer
Raise the headlamp and pull hard, the lamp will
fall forward (held by sprung
loaded catch).
Check arm on motor to lamp raising arm.
If you can elaborate on this please send an email.
