The March weather has been great so I have been out in the 968 a couple of times and am now looking forward to getting the car out and enjoying it in the bright sunshine a bit more often. Just heard on the radio that this March has been the sunniest since records began, maybe I should have used it a bit more!
Clothing.
I have had a couple of enquiries about register clothing, could those
of you who are interested in some register clothing let me know either
by email or post. The prices would be £15 for a Polo shirt, £16.50
for a sweatshirt, and £6 for a baseball cap. Each of these would
have the 968 register logo on.
For PCGB to stock these clothes we really need to get 10 orders for each
of the items so could those of you who are interested please send me your
name and which product you would like. If we do get enough then clearly
these would be translated into orders.
Events.
Please remember the Classic Rock weekend on May 24th and 25th.
Also the Lake District run of Region 5 (North West) on 11 May is now going
to take in the Concours event of Region 18 (Lancs and Cumbria) so if you
have a 968 in either of these regions or any other for that matter then
please do join us. We will be meeting at the Garstang Golf and Country
Club at 9:30 and then moving on to Parker and Parker OPC in the Lakes
to then start the actual drive through the countryside and a spot of lunch
or bring your own picnic and rejoin us after lunch.
Porsche 917
In my last write up I mentioned the famous Porsche 917, for those of you
who want to buy into this important piece of Porsche history the PCGB
shop have 917 t-shirts available at £12.50
